New Zealand, Marlborough, Sauvignon Blanc
Appellation: Marlborough, New Zealand
The Region: New Zealand’s premier wine region, Marlborough, is located on the north-east corner of the country’s South Island. The region has become famous internationally for its distinctive, herbaceous Sauvignon Blancs. Marlborough is also known for its beautiful sounds – sunken valleys which create a network of tranquil waterways amidst the vineyards and native forests. The vineyards that produced this Sauvignon Blanc are located in the Wairau Valley. This area boasts New Zealand’s sunniest and driest climate with summer and autumn consisting of warm days and cool, clear nights. This helps to retain the naturally high levels of acidity found in the Sauvignon Blanc grape and develops the classic New Zealand style.
The Wine: Sauvignon Blanc is a very popular varietal today and NewZealand produces intense, racy, flavourful wines from this grape. Our KenRidgeTM Founder’s Series Sauvignon Blanc is straw-coloured with fresh, appealing aromas of cut grass, gooseberry, passion fruit, melon, citrus and green pepper. These aromas carry over to create clean, ripe, juicy, tart flavours on the palate with a gracefully long lemon lime finish. To appreciate this Sauvignon Blanc’s crisp acidity and refreshing style, please enjoy young.
The Food: A fabulous wine to serve with goat cheese; asparagus; summer salads; cream based pastas with green vegetables; fish and chicken with fresh herbs and lemon.
Sweetness Code: 0 (completely dry)
Alcohol by Volume: 13%
Oak: Premium cubed toasted oak
Bottle Aging: It is recommended that you cellar your KenRidgeTM Founder’s Series New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc a minimum of 1 month before enjoying. |

Germany, Mosel River Valley, Riesling
Appellation: Mosel-Saar-Rewer, Germany
The Region: Many wine enthusiasts would argue that Germany’s Mosel region produces the world’s finest Rieslings and is home to some of the country’s most famous vineyards. The Mosel River and its two tributaries, Saar and Ruwer meander through the region. Along the winding route of the Mosel, the river banks rise so sharply that the vineyards along these slopes are among the steepest in the world. Some terraced vineyards are planted at an astounding 70-degree gradient. On these steep inclines, nearly all labor must be done by hand the angle gives the vines good exposure to the sun. The Mosel Region provides optimal warmth and precipitation in the steep sites and valleys. The region’s slate infused soils perform dual functions of reflecting the warmth of the day back onto the vines as the sun sets as well as imparting the wines with the characteristic mineral tang for which German Rieslings are famous.
The Wine:
KenRidge Founder’s Series Mosel River Valley Riesling impeccably reflects the individuality of its terroir. This classic Riesling features a beautifully expressive bouquet suggesting green apples, stone fruit and honeysuckle with delicate floral notes and a clever touch of mineraliness to give it a distinctly German identity. Balanced on the palate, flavours of citrus, apricot and honey will engage your senses.
The Food:
This Riesling’s lively acidity makes a wonderfully versatile food wine. Serve as an aperitif with salty appetizers or paired with your main course of seasoned grilled chicken, fresh summer salads, Asian stir fry or ginger glazed pork roast.
Sweetness Code: 2 (off-dry)
Alcohol by Volume: 11% – 11.5%

British Columbia, Okanagan Valley, Chardonnay
KenRidge Founder’s Series Sugar Code: 0 Alcohol vol: 12.0
Chardonnay, often referred to as ‘the King of the white grapes’ due to its full body, round mouth-feel and complex characteristics, is admired by many wine lovers. The Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, one of the world’s most northerly wine regions, is a long narrow valley dominated by the deep Okanagan Lake. This massive body of water moderates the hot summer temperatures allowing the Chardonnay grapes to develop classic notes of apple, pear and tropical fruits. Notes of vanilla, spice, butter, and oak or cedar notes will mingle beautifully with the fruit flavours to produce a well-balanced wine. This wine would be excellent served with roasted chicken, lobster dipped in butter, creamy sauces on pasta and seafood, chicken pot pies, salmon baked in a buttery pastry, and turkey with a mushroom stuffing.

Italy, Veneto, Amarone
Made with HARVEST CRUSHTM GRAPE SKIN PACK!
Appellation: Region of Veneto, Italy
The Region:
Veneto is an important wine growing region in Northeast Italy with a long history of grape growing. Today, Veneto is one of Italy’s largest wine growing regions, partly due to the success of Pinot Grigio. Some other notable wines include Valpolicella, Soave, Prosecco, Bardolino and the famous Amarone. The picturesque hillside vineyards offer many of the best locations for grape growing, along with vast fertile plains which are producing some very interesting wines.
The Wine:
Amarone is exclusively produced from the Corvina (often the highest percentage), Molinara and Rondinella grape varieties. The wine is traditionally made from premium grapes which have been dried or raisined in cool, dry, well ventilated ‘drying rooms’ or ‘drying lodges.’ The grapes partially shrivel and dehydrate, thus increasing the sugar in the juice and concentrating the flavour components. Although the wine is fermented to a complete dryness and usually aged in oak, the richness gives a slightly sweet impression on the palate. Amarone is among the fullest bodied of Italy’s red wines, with plenty of ripe black fruit flavours.
The Food:
The full rich styling suggests serving with hard well-aged cheeses (cheddar, parmesan and blue cheeses) with fresh breads, rich winter stews, braised meats, Mexican Mole, leg of lamb, dark chocolate, polenta dishes, spicy sausages, and rich lasagna dishes.
Sweetness Code: 0
Bottle Aging:
It is recommended that you cellar this wine for a minimum of 3 months. Aging at least a year will result in superbly developed flavours. |

The Region:
Between the towering mountains and the powerful Pacific Ocean lie, quietly growing in the foothills and valleys, the great vineyards of Chile.
